I grew up in Chicago, IL, introduced to photography in my high schools darkroom changed the way I viewed life around me. Photojournalism became a way for me to transpire the emotion my subjects and I felt, a means to tell a story without the book. My photos are presented with the aim not to provide an idealistic view but to identify where light and environment are important. Where words fail my photographs find me. While residing in Dallas, Texas my work was displayed at some pretty cool places throughout the city’s Metroplex in various galleries. (Dallas Cultural Center, Citibanks Corporate Headquarters, and the Haley Henman Gallery.) I then became a member of the Young Photographers Alliance which took my works and travel to New York City. When I’m not taking pictures I’m writing. When I’m not writing I’m creating collages and always listening to music. However, being a mom is my greatest creation. Nothing happens by chance. There is a purpose in everything.

Nia = Purpose.

Remember that.
